This publication presents the current situation of cancer in Switzerland and its development over the past 25 years. After a general overview of all cancers, the main cancers of adults and children are presented with morbidity rates for the illness, the number of patients affected and the mortality rate, as well as trends over recent years and geographical differences. This analysis is completed with the description of risk factors and prevention options taken from the scientific literature.
